Here are a few example bamboo applications:

We used sympathetic planting here to create a secluded courtyard garden using bamboo and ferns.

Using Vivax Aureacaulis with its strong gold canes and which can be trimmed up to shoulder height we have allowed a partially obscured view of the entire garden.
Here we used Semiiarundinaria fastuosa as a screen. It was planted in a raised bed that we created with sleepers and a decking seating area on the top. This is an ideal specimen where upright canes are needed for hedging and privacy without the floppiness of many bamboo species.

Below we show 'Semiarundinaria Fastuosa', ideal as a screening bamboo! These plants went in here in 30lt pots approximately 2m high with the aim of creating a hedge and screen from the new buildings seen behind. The plants will reach 4-5 metres and be perfect for the job. They can be trimmed and topped as a hedge if a more formal appearance is required:

Our office garden and stock plants:

Phyllostachys Aureosulcata aureacaulis-a fabulous gold Bamboo often called The Gold Crookstem. It has a red tinge when exposed to sunlight.

X Himnobambusa shiroshima - a most startling varigated bamboo, ideal for most conditions.
